We are here today to learn the logo design process in time.
I hope you know the correct design process which consists of a starting point and there’s an end result. Ideally, in most cases, that’s a happy client and unhappy designer. On the other side satisfied client and happy designer, although it should be you for most of the time
But how can you traverse from point A (unhappy designer) to point B (happy designer)?
Here are some tips which will help you design a logo efficiently and can make your client and you happy as well. This article will also make the logo designing process easier and simplified.
1} Information:
Efficiently it all starts with information you do need as much information as possible so make a creative brief that can be saved on before designing the project or giving the quotation of the project. Then sent to each client upon starting a project you need to know the client’s needs and their wants, as well as the industry of the brand, and crucially important to you, need to understand the target market of the logo design.
2} Brainstorming:
After gathering as much information as possible it’s time to brainstorm. Simply take a word from the brand name or just a keyword that relates to the business and then generate adjectives or phrases linked to that original words now these will lead you to concepts. For Example, let us consider our company name is Derby store. It’s a fashion store, Nowhere Fashion is a keyword for the business for a fashion business you might write down things like fabric class elegance trendy catwalk model and so on you then want to play around with combinations of these adjectives to create a concept and basic understanding behind the logo initial design which will create possible combinations to create a basic illustration for making it more effective by using procreated adjectives and logo phrases and pick which suits the best for the logo design process.
Facts Check: “Since 2019, Covid-19 has provided more than 1.5 million jobs in the Logo designing domain and other digital art works”
3} Market Research:
This part of the logo design process requires time and energy to research the existing logo designs and specific color pallets with typography examples that might come in handy to your design. it helps you create and build a visual expression of the kind of environment your logo design is going to fall into and it also gives heads up to be aware of the design you have thought of is not present in the market. You do need to understand the similar brand mood, designs, and typography to get inspired. Some people don’t even like to sketch the concepts down but we at space monkey make crude sketches to express our ideas in a visual sense.
4} Combination:
The logotype or a color choice always refer back to those notes on the target markets so one of the words were sophisticated and so the choice of logotype would need to resemble that potentially a tool within serif fonts or maybe a very thin sans serif font and this is the kind of thing that you need to contemplate and experiment within your league design process so once you’ve generated solid designs based around your three to five concepts try and choose just three designs that really stand out and you feel the express the brand in the most effective way remember that your logo design needs to reflect brand’s message and appeal to the target market.
5} Final Submission:
Now time to deliver the logo to your client. If you’ve written a contract prior to designing which you probably should do and the client has indeed signed it’s you shouldn’t worry about the client using or stealing your designs because if they do you can take serious legal action as it should stipulate in the contract with all the necessary terms and the conditions.
